LEAGUE 2011
Yes, you read right, 2011. We just finished playing the first ½ league final of 2011 which finished at the end of June 2011. Circumstances were such that we were only able to have the 2 finalists play off on the 17th January 2012. And what a playoff. ANGELO ALI v's THEO GEORGIOU – two very strong players. And it seems evenly matched in the first 2 matches of a best of 3 matches to 9 point games. 9-5 & 5-9 Angelo / Theo respectively. But in the decider, whilst starting slowly, Theo rocketed to 6-1 lead [to 9] winning finally 9-3.
Interesting statistics – these two played 11 games in the first match, 10 games in the second match and 9 games in the third match. And Angelo Ali - Good effort but not enough to get through.

An emphatic win by Bill made more impressive as he defeated Chris Benham in the first round to eventually win. And all we can do is commiserate with Siegfried [I could only manage one point!]. See attached score sheet.
