JUSTIN FREYTAG WINS SA OPEN FOR THE 2nd TIME
Justin emerged triumphant defeating VASSILIS TOUBAKARIS in the final from a field of 16, winning 15-8. JOHN O’GRADY defeated ELKE LAWANDOWSKI in the Consolation Tournament of 32, winning 5-3.

The February 2007 Knock-out Tournament No1 was won by ANGELO ALI from CHRIS BENHAM (7-6). The February 2007 Knock-out Tournament No2 was won by VASSISLIS TOUBAKARIS from EMMANUAL LAVRENTIADIS (7-6).

The March 2007 Knock-out Tournament was won by JOHN McLEAN from SEIGFRIED POHLENZ.
30 YEAR CELEBRATION TOURNAMENT – “THE 30th”
We are having some matches recorded so get cracking!! Remember, entry is free, only two matches will be played with the same opponent, the top 6 will fight it out in the best of 3 x 11 points matches, will be to it’s played to 21 points and will run until Tuesday 16th October 2007.

ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING – 27/2/07
The AGM was held on Tuesday 27th February 2007 and the audited financial statements were presented and adopted unanimously by the members present. Elections were also held without any changes in the committee. Recapping PRESIDENT: NICK BEGAKIS AM, TREASURER: JOHN O’GRADY, MEMBERSHIP OFFICER: SIEGFRIED POHLENZ, COMMITTEE MEMBER: VASSILIS TOUBAKARIS. A vote of thanks to the committee was proposed by members present citing members’ appreciation of the way the club is managed. After the AGM, members enjoyed a delicious supper before going back to their games.

2006 CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP DECIDED
During March, ANGELO ALI won the play-offs for the second half of 2006’s league, thus earning the right to play VASSILIS TOUBAKARIS in the finals. As published in our e-newsletter, ANGELO ALI won 2 games to 1. Well done Angelo.
