The NOVEMBER KNOCKOUT TOURNAMENT was popular and filled early. The final was between CLAUDIE VASSEUR and DON SCHULZ with DON SCHULZ victorious. REMEMBER - NEXT KNOCKOUT TOURNAMENT - 7th DECEMBER.

SPRING TOURNAMENT - NOVEMBER 21st

The 2004 SPRING TOURNAMENT attracted 14 starters. This allowed 4 buy-backs for the last 2 spots. The draw was done by Elizabeth this year and resulted in some interesting combinations—all players “difficult” as one entrant mentioned. The final 4 were PETER GEELEN, CHRIS BENHAM, NICK BEGAKIS and NICK PAPADOPOULOS. Chris k/o Peter and Nick P k/o Nick B. The Final went head to head reaching 12 all in the 15 point match with Chris sprinting away to take it 15-12. Well done Chris and well done Nick Papadopoulos who said this was the first final of a major club tournament he has reached. We thank the Hilton Adelaide for their assistance and generous sponsorship.

CONSOLATION TOURNAMENT
21st NOVEMBER
ANGELO ALI—WINNER

There is nothing worse than getting up early on a Sunday morning and finding yourself knocked out by 10:00am and no backgammon action available. So this year we decided to run a Consolation Tournament parallel to the Spring Tornament for those not live in the main event. This proved popular with the final between ANGELO ALI and JOHN McLEAN decided in Angelo’s favour—well done Angelo.
