12 Jan 12 - Hi All, Well we held our first tournament of the year last Sunday and what a start it was ! We had 22 players turn up which easily filled the field of 32 very quickly. The best part of it was that we added 6 brand new players to the group this month !!! I'd like to welcome these players and thank them for taking the step of coming along and having a go:

Just a reminder that any player that comes along for the first time will have their $25 entry fee paid for so it will be totally free of charge to play for you so no excuses !!

Our first tournament left off where last year's tournament finished. The Top 3 players on the leaderboard from last season ended up in the Top 3 for our 1st tournament ! Congrats to Mick "The Monster" Dyett, who showed us once again that he truly is a great player by winning the tournament and getting a nice early lead for the season. Mick beat David Reitzin in the final. I have attached the leaderboard after our 1st tournament. Our next tournament will be held on Sunday 12th Feb.

Also, the dates for the "2012 NSW Open Backgammon Championships" will be the weekend of the 31st March / 1st April. Flier available here.
