06 Sep 06 - The FIBS 2006 Spring Backgammon Tournament saw a number of Australians and ex-pats in the money. Congratulations to Kevin Jessup and Ross Ladyman who made the quarter finals in the main field. Well known ex-pat Australian Brian McDonald got to the semis and Michael Ginat was runner-up in the Consolation. The FIBS 2006 Fall Backgammon Tournament is open for entries until 08 Oct 06.

05 Sep 06 - WinningBackgammon.info interviewed Philip Vischjager, the ruling  backgammon World Champion.In this interview Mr Vischjager tells about  his backgammon career and the World Championship in Monte Carlo in 2006. Later he also shares his views where he believes backgammon will  be and should be in a few years from now. Finally, the World Champion gives a number advice how one can become a good backgamon player.
